No More Basquiats Film Screening

No More Basquiats is a documentary exploring the hidden power dynamics of the elite art world, questioning who has the authority to determine the authenticity and value of art. Centered around the controversial discovery of previously unseen works believed to be created by Jean-Michel Basquiat, the film follows two Toronto collectors as they challenge the opaque systems of verification controlled by estates, galleries, and market influence.

For an exclusive gallery screening event, I developed a refined promotional identity and suite of event collateral designed to immerse guests in the film’s provocative subject matter. The project included custom leaflets, branded badges, exhibition-style signage, and marketing assets that blended contemporary gallery aesthetics with the raw, expressive energy associated with Basquiat’s work. The visual approach was intentionally minimal yet disruptive, reflecting the film’s themes of exclusivity, authenticity, and the tension between art and power.
